When I Was in Your Life

I am that guy— I am not just that type Who fills himself with air and real hype. I cannot plan myself; I just happen. Tell myself, “I’m strong—I can’t be shaken,” When I fall in love, my heart can’t be broken, And when I pick a pen, I can’t write a love poem. I used to deceive myself: “I’m the one who gives, I could never be on the end that receives.” Stronger than a soldier with a handheld shield— My life was perfect, no place for grief. A definition of happiness? Learn it from my life. Everything was super—“Hii life ilikuwa juu!” Then the best happened: I met you. You turned my life upside down, literally, Brought me closer to love and reality, Pushed me to someone I loved dearly. I became crazy; everything transformed— This world was full—I was never alone. I began watching boring soaps, Changed the place where I hung my phone: From my pockets to always in my hands. A minute wouldn’t pass without your text, A moment of silence? Just thoughts of you next— It was either my mind’s no...

A Time to Love

Image
Time is like the waters in the rivers, always flowing downstream never going in reverse, but a look at the clock I see it going in circles, Minutes into hours, days into months that yield Years, Another season has come around, from a distance I hear the love drum, this time tho with a different tune, Yester year 'twas winter, but now it is summer, back then it was tears, but this time I am full of laughter, I had many wild flowers, but now my garden has a beautiful rose flower, The flower that never withers, but grows beautiful in every weather, always and forever. Classic Poetic Love

Spot me, heed me, and sense me, Devour me, sip me, and swallow me, Consider me, tease me, but need me, Touch me, hold me, and hug me, Sit with me, be with me, and never leave me, Like me, love me, and adore me, Miss me, think about me, and dream me, Spell me, read me, and write me, Recite me, narrate me and sing me, And when you are done, Never stop me, never leave me, and never neglect me, Don’t forget me, don’t abandon me and don’t cast me, Don’t fool me, don’t play me and don’t cheat on me, Don’t separate from me, don’t divorce me, and don’t quit on me, Please I beg you to finish me. A Simple one About what you think it is, Simple said yet the meaning is far away in between the lines.

Timeless

Echoes of history blast from very far, Doors once open are still left ajar, Feelings that were intense are now strong with love, Time is still so fresh, I can hear the last tick of the clock still in the air, The candle still shining many light-years on, Still the radio playing that classic song, Now the truth finally downs, That I grew old without you, I stand alone holding this picture, Tears from my eyes wiping it clear, Let the memories come back alive, As I slowly crawl back in time, I meet many familiar faces on my way, Some being washed away By old blood flowing in my mind, ......................................................... …………………………………….HELP FINISH ME

I Miss Her

This morning I woke up early, The sun is hot but I feel so cold, Thinking it has been a while since she left my side, Encouraging myself be strong saying I am a man, But I can’t hold back the tears flowing in my heart, I try to close my eyes but I still see her, I still feel the beautiful smell of her hair, All is not well for I miss her. Every time I try to move on I turn around and come back solo, In my dreams she visits me, In my thoughts, in my blood she flows, All am left with are beautiful memories, Of how we used to be the pair, And of the beautiful love that we shared, Oh if I could turn back the hands of time, She still could been mine but now I miss her. I loved the way she rolled her lips, Still see the beautiful eyes looking up at me, Carrying me away to a place I called heaven That sound ooohoo she made, The times we embraced, The promises we gave through text, Through the nights lost in love, All that was her in my life, I miss her. But now she is gone, The short sweet ...
